Unit 5: G6 Augmented Reality

Welcome to Augmented Reality where the real world is the trigger for more information than you ever imagined.

Guess Who?
The final project will be to create a Guess Who display in which you give glues about yourself and create a trigger image that will “come to life.” Your image will reveal who is behind the clues and the picture. Who is that student? YOU in augmented reality!

For this unit, it is best for you to have access to a smartphone or tablet device that can run apps. You must download and install the free application called, Aurasma. Our channel is called: swamagic

Criterion A: Investigate
Mystery Silhouette Clues

  • What is Augmented Reality?
  • How is it being used?
  • How would you imagine using it?
  • What ideas do you have for using augmented reality in school?

Criterion B: Design
Post step by step directions for each part of the menu in Aurasma by shooting a video or using screenshots and creating a how-to Keynote.

  • What reasons do you have for creating auras now that you have completed one yourself?
